July 2014! New Podcast! New Calendar! Newly Regained Sense Of Popcorn Entitlement! IT'S BEHZOIK, even!!!
New York City's premiere resource for classic film screenings in the metropolitan area. Offering reviews, recommendations, venues and a host of links keeping classic film and the silver screens alive.

JOO! LYE! July July July! Weez properly in the thick of a full fledged Summah, suckahz! And for the NYC Cinegeek this means we can actually rub the crusts from our flicker-lit eyes and emerge into the sunshine to dwell amongst the other forms of human life in our fair Metropolis, albeit at outdoor screenings only. Extra-cinematic physical interaction? C'mon! What're we, savages?
LOTS to dig into this month, from TWO-COUNT-'EM-TWO ace noir series unspooling at MoMA and Film Forum, to Moving Image's celebration of star quality on the big screen, to Anthology Film Archives' trib to one of Hollywood's fave scribes, to BAM's reopening of the recently restored Harvey Theater for a widescreen classics series. And that's not even taking into account the screenings unbounded by 4 walls and a roof! Bring a towel. No, not the same towel you brought to the indoor screenings. Look, I'm not dignifying this line of inquiry with a explanation. Let's just move on.
To check into the month's proceedings click on the newly updated interactive calendar on the right side of the screen. And be sure to check out the July overview podcast, fully downloadable for you on-the-go jet-setters or those who just need a smoky-voiced yoga partner. I'm looking at you, Kelly Ripa.
So enjoy, make sure you check back for thr updates as I get 'em, and spread the word about this here website! I could always use a little extra love. EXCELSIOR, KNUCKLEHEADS!
