January 15th 2016. Farewell Pick of the Day.
New York City's premiere resource for classic film screenings in the metropolitan area. Offering reviews, recommendations, venues and a host of links keeping classic film and the silver screens alive.

New and continuing series this day include the tribs to living legend Charlotte Rampling and sadly departed legend Christopher Lee at IFC Center, the Shakes-lovin' Stratford-On-Houston at Film Forum, Modern Matinees: A Pioneer Cowboy at MoMA, and the impossibly cool Cabaret Cinema at the Rubin Museum. And yes, to the reception of much sorrow, the posthumous trib to a recently passed titan, Watch That Man: David Bowie, Movie Star, at the Walter Reade Theater. The Magick Lanternry be thus;
